On site and Off-site Occupational Physiotherapy Services

An Occupational Physiotherapy Service allows the delivery of a comprehensive and dynamic range of both preventative and reactive treatments for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions present in the working environment. The service aims to reduce the associated costs of musculoskeletal healthcare and sickness absence. It provides early access, diagnosis and treatment for the injured worker to minimise the impact of an injury or condition.

Workplace Assessments (Display Screen Equipment)

We offer a fully comprehensive nationwide on-site service. The service is designed to facilitate easy referral and fast turn around of reports and is quality assured. Assessments are performed by physiotherapists with post graduate experience and qualifications in occupational health or ergonomics.
Our most commonly conducted assessment taking 45-60 minutes and includes:

Job/Task analysis
Subjective complaints noted
H.S.E. compliance check and identification of urgent non H.S.E. compliance issues
Anthropometric measurements
Risk assessment

A detailed report is provided which includes:

Details of the issues found
Information given and changes made during the assessment
Recommendations

Functional Assessments (Functional Capacity Evaluations)

Fit for Work provides you with assessment reports that address both the physical and psychological aspects of the person’s injury. The assessment can be done in either the person’s home or in the occupational setting.

You will receive an objective, comprehensive and easy to understand report that gives you:

An objective measure a of person’s work and functional ability
Identifies any barriers to their recovery
A prognosis
Practical recommendations for the best possible future treatment and it’s cost

Work Hardening Programs

A Work Hardening Program is a goal-orientated occupational rehabilitation program designed to restore an individual’s capacity for work or other activities. The program typically involves a graduated and combined series of supervised work-specific tasks (or components of a work task) and other simulated functional activities. The goal of the program is to restore an injured party’s ability to perform work-related tasks to enable them to return to work or full duties
